Talk:Color Management Myths 21-25

The entry "Myth #22: The a, b axis of Lab are red/green and blue/yellow" is nonsense as nobody can a color like 100/128/0 or 100/-127/0. What Photoshop shows in their UI is an application dependent approximation of their own choice. Interms of seeing a coor, the values 100/128/0 or 100/-127/0are essentially undefined. When looking at such large a or b values at a more reasonable L value, a indeed does move from something looking green-ish to something looking red-dish.

As far as I can tell this myth does not apply and should be removed (or shoudl be revised to state that there has been a myth at some time claiming that a moves from cyan-ish to magenta-ish because of an oversight regarding colors at L values at or close to 100).
